Just found out the backup of my home instance of PartsDB wasn't running due to a chain of problems caused by bad config (yes, it was DNS in a way). Thankfully before I actually needed it. People, verify if your backups are working regularly! When you need them, it's already too late.

Definitely not my day with computers. First issue with Codeberg: clicked the Edit button to fix a bad link on an .md, the browser entered an infinite redirect loop, and now I’m blocked for 15-30 minutes because of "too many requests”. Lovely.

Today is one of those days when absolutely nothing at all works. Like Maps not handling zoom correctly with a marked route. The result is somewhat funny.

Question for #retroapple folks: I’m going to replace these 256K modules soon by the 1M modules (I know I need to remove the resistor). After 40 years, how brittle are the plastic hooks that hold these things in place? Should I be worried about breaking them when I pull them to release the modules?
