Finally popped the HD20SC case open. In reality I think the original disk died and was upgraded to a 52MB one. I think it’s the first time I see an HD without a label mentioning the capacity.

Kinda crazy a 150 MHz Raspberry Pico 2 can be overclocked to 320-something MHz and just works, without melting of even getting hot, just slightly warm.

Cleaned up the Plus floppy disk drive, greased it, and so on, but something is wrong. The motor spins (with a squeak) but the head won’t move. Eject also doesn’t work but that’s expected, the little gear that becomes brittle is in multiple pieces. I don’t know why the head won’t move, though.

DigiKey delivered today so late night project, modernizing the FDD 3000 power supply with new caps and Tracos. Unfortunately I bought a bit of an underspecced 12V Traço but the one that was here wasn’t great either. Some quick measurements say it should work. Let’s test it so far!

When OmniDiskSweeper says it "need permission to fully scan" something, what does it need exactly? I already have it full disk access. The app just shows a label saying this, doesn't provide any admin password prompt or a button or anything that could trigger a process to obtain such permissions.
