The antique market in my neighborhood seems to specialize in odd cat pictures and figurines. Today, there also seemed to be an ongoing theme of startled birds interacting with peculiarly placid nineteenth-century children.

Baby Bowser, an unbelievably sweet and beautiful grey and white, snow-leopardesque kitten with heterochromia (1 amber eye, 1 sea-green eye). He’s up for adoption at the MSPCA in Jamaica Plain, MA. I can’t believe he hasn’t been adopted yet!
