AI coding agent time estimates be like: this features will take 1-2 hours to finish. Then its done in 5 minutes.

LLMs are an amazing tool when used intentionally and with skepticism, but its also nice to be in a flow where I'm not using them for awhile. Currently in a state where I'm "thinking in code", its beautiful how concisely you can express things when thinking this way.

I am so upset with the windows 10 laptop I bought in 2017. Can't update to windows 11, so I'm stuck without support. I hardly use it. I need it to support cross platform projects. I boot it up, it doesn't let me log in, it needs to "setup my new experience". I want to open vscode and test stuff. 😠

It would be better if "the algorithm" gave me things that I could learn from rather than things that I liked. Learning new things doesn't always feel good. It can be downright uncomfortable to discard a long-held belief.

Technology has propelled society into an information age, and now we see if society can adapt and learn to separate signal from noise. So far - and contrary to my intuition - it is not looking very good. Are we really squandering our expert advantage? Does a path forward exist?
