I’d love to see Jake utilizing his heightened sense of smell to track Marc’s emotions. Not sure if Khonshu tampered with him during their physical separation, or if Jack just evolved backwards into a predator(?). Regardless, he can detect the subtlest shifts in Marc’s scent. +

While Khonshu self-identifies as loving Marc in the comics, I see him as an unreliable narrator. I believe a god's idea of love and a human's are two entirely different things (even humans can't agree on what love is).

I’ve always been drawn to the saying, “Those favored by the gods rarely meet a peaceful end.” I don’t believe that what exists between gods and mortals is “love” in the human sense，such a feeling requires equality between two beings. At best, a god views a human as a cherished pet.+

I’m absolutely obsessed with how Marc is this independent, functional adult, but still lowkey relies so much on Steven and Jake. Honestly, sometimes he feels like a troublemaking puppy being raised by the two of them (笑)

Based on what Steven said, I think that drug messes with the senses and turns Marc’s fears into reality. This means Marc is actually terrified of being alone—the drug just amplified that loneliness so much that he couldn't hear Steven or Jake anymore.+

I find it so hard for Marc to just say “I miss you guys” to Jake and Steven. (Maybe it’s just me, but) I feel like there’s this undercurrent of grievance in his lines. Like, he actually gets all flustered and pouty when he can't find them... Poor Marc is literally lost without them😌
