Despite the heat the williams FW07 is coming along. First time spraying aluminium which turned out ok. I had a decals sheet turn up from China, fingers crossed they'll go down without too much trouble.

After not buying any kits at the show on Sunday I have caved and bought this kit off evilbay.

Well, that's the williams fw07 engine pretty much done, just need to tidy up the exhausts once the glue has hardened. The 'good year' on the tyres is painted on, so that will be fun to do.

Before I break something else off or leave more fingerprints in the still hardening gloss, I'm calling the Tamiya Ferrari F189 done, finally. A nice kit with a nice amount of detail throughout.

Afternoon all. I've finally smoothed the finish and lost the edges of the thick tamiya decals. Just need to let it harden off then I can finish it ready for the club show next Sunday 🤞

A nice afternoon listening to jammy spurs avoiding relegation again. On the plus side I've got the decals down on one of the mp4/4s. This has got to be one of the most iconic liveries in F1. Still have the rear wing and other bits to do but couldn't resist decalling.

I'm going back into car building and these mclaren MP4/4s are first to be finished before a fresh kit rolls onto the bench.

Evening all, long time away but still been busy. I've been having some fun with masking sheets. This is the revell razor crest 1/72 with a slightly different scheme.

That's the chassis, engine and suspension done barring a few odds and sods. Around about 200 parts and no major fit issues at all.

Good morning all. The bismarck has been recycled due to sapping the enjoyment and mojo. Onto plastic and parc ferme is filling up with 2 Mclaren MP4/4, typical tamiya kit with a nice amount of detail, in need of new decals but other than that all is good and straight OOB build.

Bismarck update, lower level is nearly done barring a load of little bits to add for depth. It seems to be going together fairly well so far, the fun is still there plus plenty of dry fitting just like plastic kits.

I've finally committed to joining the 2 halves together, no going back now 😬 it seems to be sitting nice and flat which is a bonus 😀

I've been gifted this paper model of the bismarck, the scale is 1/250 and if I actually finish it it will be just over a metre long 😬 so far so good and I'm actually enjoying it, something very different. The back half is sort of done.

Well, after a week of decal application I have finally got to the finish line with the kawasaki thingy bike. It was a typical tamiya kit which was a nice change from the italeri triumph. The decals went down fairly well with a good soaking of set and sol. All in all it has turned out OK.

A weeks worth of decalling and still a couple of days to go to make sure everything is down as well as can be.

Update on the kawasaki, so far so good. A typical tamiya kit, nice parts, instructions that are easy to follow. The decals around the wheels were fun but by the last one I'd got a method.

I've got the tamiya Kawasaki ZX-RR on the bench now. Typical tamiya, nice instructions, no fit issues just slightly too thick decals 😕 engine is done and in the frame, onto the swing arm and everything else in between.

Good evening all. I had good evening yesterday, I won the club competition with my entry of the triumph 3 HW. There was a table full of cracking builds and I was more than happy to have won. Here are the top three builds.

I'm calling the triumph done before anything else goes wrong with it. All in all a fairly decent kit despite its age, other than the moulds being out and everything taking on a slightly different shape to what it should be. I've lost count how many coats the tank has had due to various f ups.

Calling that a win and the anomaly will be covered with a discreet decal placement 😁
