Evening all. WIP on the Ferrari F189. It's getting closer to the last ten laps now thankfully. Most of the decals are on and after splitting the first one I took it steady with the rest, they are from 1989 after all. Still debating whether to go with nige or an empty cockpit.

Next to hit the bench is the tamiya Ferrari F189. I got so far with it back when I was a teen and hopefully I will finish it this time. As with tamiya, it goes together perfectly.

Well, after a week of decal application I have finally got to the finish line with the kawasaki thingy bike. It was a typical tamiya kit which was a nice change from the italeri triumph. The decals went down fairly well with a good soaking of set and sol. All in all it has turned out OK.

A weeks worth of decalling and still a couple of days to go to make sure everything is down as well as can be.

Kawasaki update, pretty much everything is fitted. Some wires and a few odds and sods to go, plus the fairing and it'll be good.

Update on the kawasaki, so far so good. A typical tamiya kit, nice parts, instructions that are easy to follow. The decals around the wheels were fun but by the last one I'd got a method.

I've got the tamiya Kawasaki ZX-RR on the bench now. Typical tamiya, nice instructions, no fit issues just slightly too thick decals 😕 engine is done and in the frame, onto the swing arm and everything else in between.

Good evening all. I had good evening yesterday, I won the club competition with my entry of the triumph 3 HW. There was a table full of cracking builds and I was more than happy to have won. Here are the top three builds.

I'm calling the triumph done before anything else goes wrong with it. All in all a fairly decent kit despite its age, other than the moulds being out and everything taking on a slightly different shape to what it should be. I've lost count how many coats the tank has had due to various f ups.

Calling that a win and the anomaly will be covered with a discreet decal placement 😁

Motherfucking wind farms…

Last night was a fun and almost enjoyable evening with minimal headaches. One side of the fuel tank just about done, I'm thinking of trying to sort out the anomaly at the front, if not I have a decal to cover it.

I've found a combination of paint that doesn't work. Humbrol enamel with a Mr hobby gx gloss on top 🤦🤬🤬 all scrubbed off and going down a different route this time.

I've had a bit of trouble on evilbay, my fingers slipped a few times but I'm happy with the results although looking at the instructions for the Suzuki I've never built a kit with so many different paints needed 😲

Have done a quick mock up to see what the triumph will look like when all together, I think I like it but time will tell in the end.

Triumph update. Front forks and mudguard are on. Rear mudguard is in too after mixing up the braces they fit ok now 🤦 There's a certain amount of tension throughout the frame but so far it is behaving.

I've made a start on the triumph 3 HW. I'm going down a different path from the usual military scheme, will have to see how it progresses.

Calling the miniart Sd.Kfz.234/2 puma. It's a nice kit, not the version with the full interior but still plenty to offer. Finished in tamiya xf88 DK yellow and a medium brown oil wash with a few pigments at the end.

Just home from our local show and have had a good day with a decent haul to add to the stash. I won the Stuart in the tombola plus a Catalina in 1/72.

All done with xf88 dark yellow 2. Tyres painted and onto the various tools and exhausts tomorrow.

Evening all. I think I'm ready for a spray session tomorrow. All the bling is on, I quite like the straps that hold the jerry cans.

Next on the bench is the miniart Puma SD.Kfz.234/2 it's a nice kit. The suspension was fun to do, so many multiples but all slightly different. It's going to be 'hatches shut' which just makes life a bit easier.

Calling the king tiger 🐯 done for now, it's factory fresh but will be weathered at some point in the future. It's a nice kit, the second MENG kit I've done, it's on a par with tamiya in regards to fit. The detail is better than tamiya in my opinion, if that counts for anything I don't know 😂🤷

That's the camo scheme done on the KT. First time I've done this sort of scheme so I'm fairly pleased with the outcome. Maybe it could have been a bit more refined but it's not 😁

This lovely MENG king tiger with the Henschel turret is on the bench, a nice kit with no fitting issues, matches tamiya for quality.

Calling the miniart stug lll done. Painted with tamiya xf88 DK yellow, lower hull weathered with oils and the upper hull weathered with pigments. The tarps are tissue paper painted with valleyo canvas and field grey.

Miniart stug lll update. So far so good with the paint job. The decals took ages to apply 😂 The lower hull is weathered with oils and pigments and the upper hull just pigments so far. The tarp is a painted bit of tissue soaked into place.

Latest on the bench, a nice miniart stug lll. A nice kit as per miniart standards, despite the soft plastic it has gone together well. The tracks weren't too bad in the end. Happy modelling folks.

Calling the miniart werkstattkraftwagen done before I snap anything else off it. A lovely kit with loads of extras to make it more realistic. I've done it as a repurposed wagen after the war, resprayed a nice wine and cream combo

Miniart werkstattkraftwagen update. Scratch built curtains are done, pretty much all the tools I plan on using are installed, just some weathering and the roof accessories to sort out now.

The werkstattkraftwagen is getting closer to the finish line. All the paint is on, windows are in and the bulk of the interior is in place. Just need a bit of weathering here and there now.

Work on the werkstattkraftwagen continues with the first coat of wine red body and cream lid are done. There's still a fair bit to do but can start to see the final lap.

This is a Eduard 1/72 Bf 109E-3 build I've finished. Having a love/hate relationship with the Eduard decals, when they work 👍 when they don't 🤬 This was flown by Oblt. August-Wilhelm Schumann in Germany Nov-Dec 1939. Painted with Mr. Hobby aqueous weathered with oils and tamiya weathering set.

Calling the grinder and tool box done now. A bit of fuse wire and a blob of PVA for the socket on the grinder cable.

Good evening all, long time since my last post. I'm currently working on the miniart werkstattkraftwagen, it's a nice kit with hundreds of parts and the usual soft plastic from miniart but on the whole all is well with it. I've decided against the dunkelgrau and gone for humbrol wine.
