I think Wes Streeting could genuinely be the person who unites a fractured Britain and helps us heal the country's wounds. Because whether Brexiter or decent human being, Tory, Labour, Green, Lib Dem, or Reform, left, right, or centre, we can *all* agree that Wes Streeting is an odious, toxic, shit.

I am as much in favour of us rejoining the EU as anyone, but does anyone SERIOUSLY think that a statement of intention at the moment would lead to anything other than Farage et al generating a whirlwind of anger amongst their supporters? We are living on a powder keg, and it's scary.

I don't know where I belong. I've supported Labour for over 60 years, but this is not the LP, it's a rough house of vested interests, not interested in governing but control. I can't go Right obviously; the Greens have ideas but no suggestion of how to fund them, and I can't take Ed Davey seriously.

I have noticed on FB (don't judge) in the last week or so, various government departments and Starmer have been posting about all the things that have been implemented in the last year. At last, getting it out there!!

On fb this morning (yes I know) I saw a long posting supporting Reeves' budget with over 800 comments. Expecting the flood of negativity, I was totally amazed. I read one 'liebor'-type comment, the rest were at least neutral, and some said they were beginning to be positive about it.

Butterfly bush certainly lives up to its name!

Finally done it! I've subscribed to The Guardian for several years, but I can take no more of their anti-Labour articles, so cancelled last night.

I don't know about anyone else, but my garden is absolutely full of butterflies. It's a wonderful sight after last year!

Wonderful to see so many bees on the lavender this year.
