New office coffee cup filled and ready to caffinate! I found out this morning that it holds over 2 of the my previous coffee cup all in one. Some ask if I fill it up and pour it into another cup so I get some interesting stares when I drink coffee directly from the pot.

Rolling into Uptown at 11 rather than 8ish is a wold of differences. Easy ride in and nearly no parking in the 7 story below ground parking complex I'm renting space in. Still not complaining, this is just the life people who work in Uptown lives in and I accept that.

Had a dental appointment this morning that has blown my morning routine. Felt like I needed to be in Uptown more than a feeling I wanted to work in Uptown today.

Back to the daily grind of morning CrossFit workouts and a mad dash to Uptown for a day in the office place.

Was challenged to make the Cider Cinnamon Margarita from Ri Rá and I think that I did pretty good. I made one tequila and with Ritual Tequila. Tequila Brandy Blazin Apple Cinnamon Fireball Ancho Reyes Chile Ancho Liquor Lime Juice Blue Agave Nectar Top with Apple Cider over ice

We decided to try zero proof alcohol Tequila and got to say that Ritual Tequila Alternative tastes nothing like real tequila.

Tomorrow I go back to work and having to plan workouts around that. I never do a 9am, I like doing a later workout when it's about freezing out and we're running outside. 9am workout just throws my day off and I don't get back from it all until like 11:30ish.

This year I wanted to do our first 2026 workout so after I did a mile victory lap walkabout. I would have done today's workout in a kilt with the exception of the rope climbs. Skin vs rope, rope wins every time.

First workout of 2026 and this was a damn good one! 5 Rounds 95lb Backsquats in reducing rep count of 15-12-9-6-3 1 15 foot rope climb per round total of 5 1 400m run per round total of 5 Finished this in 17:50!! I actually loved this CrossFit workout.

That wind today blowing cold through Charlotte has got some force behind it.

Kicked off the last Monday of 2025 in the gym as most Mondays of the year has been. This morning was front rack reverse lunges. We don't do this lift often and after damaging my knee a few years back play it safe. Getting to 135lbs was a 10lb improvement for me.

The Shanky's Whip is actually a really delicious sipping Irish whiskey liquor. Not as abrasive as Lager and smoother and much less regretful than Malőrt. I'd recommend checking it out, we obviously have much to share.
