The Dorset Heaths are amazing for so many species, but it was fantastic to come across several of these stunning Mottled Bee-flies (Thyridanthrax fenestratus). They may be my new favourite fly 😍 📸 P. Hughes

Some of the fabulous invertebrates seen on a recent trip to Northern Greece. The Owl-fly Libellodes lacteus and the Mantid Empusa fasciata (photos 1 and 2) were the highlight, but it was wonderful to see such a range of species.

A glorious Spring morning at RSPB Pulborough with my first Sand Martins of the year over the brooks and Early Colletes on the heath.
