“Alright, I’ll be in my panic room.” He smiled innocently before lifting the skullcap of a stone skull bust on his desk, pushing a button that led to his “panic room”, which was actually a secret control room for situations like this. The mad scientist went into the panic room and closed the door.

“You’re the who brought up the lights. Anyways, my employee is likely at Dobson’s, the big abandoned department store. I’ve heard him talk about it all the time and the rumors of “The Mannequin Killer” or whatever. So if he’s not here or at home, then he’s most definitely looking for a ghost.”

“I always get the best kind of lighting.”

“Hello, my favorite test subjects.”

Once Esme arrived, Isaac was sitting on his desk, playing with an iron yo-yo. He hopped off, still bouncing the toy up and down. “Two test subjects? Interesting! Thanks for the assistance, agent.” He grinned as he stood in front of the two. “Now, who gave you the orders and what were you after?”

“If you see the leader, don’t kill him. Bring him to me. Wound him if you have to. But use something else. That rifle doesn’t wound, it vaporizes.” Isaac replied, sitting at his desk and putting his feet up.

A sudden realization hit him and his face turned red. “Y-Yeah, you can have it. I… I don’t think I want to know.”

“Your what?” He’s a little confused.

“A beverage?”

“Eh, why not?” Isaac took the bottle and took the cap off.

“That depends. How cold is it?”

“What a strange looking fish. I think I’ll keep it.”

“I’ll keep that in mind.”

“I’m sorry to say this, Mr. Stone, but your shipment is temporarily delayed. There’s… been an incident.”

He smiled softly and shook Esme’s hand. “Isaac Thorne, CEO of Thorne Chemicals. But I’m sure you know that, right? Unless you’re new in town.”

Isaac raised an eyebrow as he heard this and stopped him. “Hm? No, keep talking. I’m a little more curious about you now, mister…?” He crossed his arms.

“Ugh, those morons still haven’t fixed the elevator yet?” The mad scientist sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose before being questioned. “What? No, what kind of question is that? Come on, the stairs are right there.” He replied as he walked Esme to the stairs.

“You are NOT supposed to be on this floor. This is for employees only! The first and second floor are for the public. Not the third, fourth, or fifth floor.” Isaac glared at Esme.

Looking at his eye in the mirror. And remembering when he pushed his boss into a vat of acid.
