Mistakes were made, my friends. It was “beach” dress up day at school today, and I my single brain cell was not firing enough to realize that, if I wear nude leggings and shorts when the shorts are the same length as my winter coat, recess duty makes me look like a flasher.

I got an email from my agent (still two of the most incredible words) today as she’s reading over the tweaks I made to my manuscript. Seeing her get SO excited and being SO complimentary is everything. My heart is so happy. It hardly feels real.

Got a full ms rejection from one of my dream agents today. It being a rejection was gutting, but also uplifting. It was SO COMPLIMENTARY: they enjoyed the characters & dialogue, it was engaging, well-paced, the humor hit, and praised my writing—they just didn't have the right connections to sell it.
