Me, a 42 year old woman who does not like pants, finding a pair of comfy Levi's jeans that actually fit was not on my bingo card today. Go figure! Lol they were in the clearance section for $33. I remember wearing Levi's as a teenager so I thought I'd try them on. I am so surprised!

A remote Antarctic research team experience several workplace misunderstandings.

I bought these plant starters from @urbanrootsmn.bsky.social at the East Side farmers market last month for $3 each. It's a tomato plant & two pepper plants. They were little seedlings, that I repotted into larger pots. They have grown so much, despite the crazy heat wave we've been having.

I found this cute outdoor rug and I love it! I still need to add a few chairs but there's no rush. Yes, I know I could buy a set but I love mismatched colorful furniture.

I was putting laundry away in my closet when my youngest cat popped out. I didn't even know she was in there!

Evening lake walks to beat the heat!

This week, I had my old deck torn down and new deck boards installed. It looks brand new!

We were at the lake this morning and Bodhi spotted a deer. He didn't bark or lunge at it. But he did sit quietly and watch from a distance. He's 6.5 months old. I wonder if his little puppy brain was like, "Oh look, I've never seen one of those before. A new friend".

Mind you it is 540am. 🤣

I bought a new carry on! It's super cute and colorful. I love how long luggage lasts. I had my old carry on for almost a decade, and it was a no name brand that I got used. Hopefully, I get as much longevity from this one.

In a few days, my daughter is going to visit her dad's side of the family for the summer. I've been teaching my daughter how to drive & didn't tell him. He's got control issues about it. She has her permit & is going to want to practice while she's there. Oh he's going to be so mad 🤣

There's a short ledge on the Como Lake walking path that Bodhi likes to explore. It makes me nervous because there's a steep drop to the lake on the other side. But he seems curious & walks this part carefully. So, I keep him on a short leash and just pay attention.

We got Bodhi's dna test results back! 79% pit bull (American staffy & American pit bull) 19% big guard dog (mastiff, bulldog, boxer, cane corso, rottweiler, boston terrier) 2% Polynesian street dog ❤️

The outdoor dog bed for Bodhi was a big hit! He seems to understand that it's his and it's for playing. 🤣

Yesterday, Bodhi found a turtle at the lake. He didn't bark at it or try to eat it. He just laid down next to it and watched it. The turtle obviously did not like this and ran away, lol. I didn't realize how fast those turtles are.

This morning, I was at the park with Bodhi and instead of our regular walk, we did a walk / jog around the lake. It was fun! More fun than I expected. New cheat code unlocked. Better exercise for both of us, and perhaps I'll turn into a morning jogger. 🏃🏻‍♀️

My daughter thinks he's 70% or more pit bull / bully breed. I think he's 69% or less. We ordered a doggy DNA test and should know in a couple weeks.

I bought a new sofa! I'm excited. I'm slowly making home upgrades, one at a time. Photo 1: our previous, 9 year old, beige sofa. This was with us through 2 houses, 2 teens, 3 dogs, 4 cats, countless movie nights. Photo 2: our new sofa. It's not fancy but a nice little upgrade.

I took Bodhi to a new (to us) park trail this morning. It was a beautiful morning to outdoors! The park includes a small off- leash dog park. It was empty this morning, so we stopped in for his first off- leash run through the woods.

This morning at the park, Bodhi had something in his mouth. I told him to drop it. "It" turned out to be a tiny baby turtle. The baby turtle was seemingly unharmed. But what do you mean, you put a turtle in your mouth? 🤣

The park must smell different to Bodhi after the thunderstorms last night, because he was extra sniffy & exploratory this morning.

I walked to the nearby Nepali restaurant to pick up dinner and there was so much food, it did not fit in my reusable bag. 🤣

The older I get, the less I tell people about my personal life. I'm open to those I trust & care about. But I have no problem brushing off nosy neighbors, coworkers, acquaintances, etc.

Anyone else's puppy like to stop during walks and just wiggle on the ground? No, only mine? 🤣

I might get a doggy DNA test for Bodhi. The humane society listed him as a pit mix. But I don't know what he's mixed with. Sometimes he looks a little Weimaraner to me, but I could be way off. My last dog was a lab / pit. That's super common, so I wouldn't be surprised if he was part lab.
