I sense a violation of Cannon. Why did his kids sign their reactions to their father? Nerp. It doesn’t work. Laxanna would be rattling off a conversation with telepathy only. Then she would speak to humanoids or in this case if deaf Sign to the humanoids.

It was simple in STNG and communication was used for the story or for the others to hear. The two kids could have easily communicate to the father vs signing. So it doesn’t work to match what we have seen before.

I also found Holly’s character to be confusing…she seems to be three different people-not consistent at all. As a Lanthanite, her behavior in the beginning scene doesn’t make sense..you know what I mean? Also-curling up in the Con? No matter her species, I think that would never have been tolerated

She is the bright spot in this series. The Mrs and I laughed multiple times with her actions. I can’t say the same thing for Holly.
