Day 16. He hasn't flown the coop yet. Once he has, I'll open the front of the box, clean it out and let it air out.

Day 15 for our bluebird nesting. He's gotten pretty big and should fledge between tomorrow and this weekend. Bon voyage little one! #birds

Day 13 for our lone bluebird chick. Feathered in very nicely. It could fledge in 3 more days, or it might be another week before it flies. I'll be checking it daily from now on. #birds

Day 11 for our bluebird chick. It'll most likely fledge in another 5 to 10 days. It's really growing it's feathers out nicely, and from the amount of blue showing on this youngun it's probably a male. #birds

Bluebird chick day 6. Still hungry but obviously feeding well when compared to how large it is vs egg size. Starting to sprout pin feathers on wings. #birds

5 days old and HUNGRY! This bluebird chick has grown and is gaping for a fresh meal from mom and dad. #birds

Sadly, only 1 out of 5 eggs hatched. The lone nestling has grown substantially and has a good bit of down growing as well. With only one baby it will be very well fed by the parents! #birds

Several more days till my bluebird eggs start to hatch. My pear tree has begun blossoming. Still have raindrops on them from last night's storms.

After 5 days of laying we have our 5th eastern bluebird egg. Mom should start sitting on them and they'll hatch in 12 to 14 days. Will update once we have hatchlings. #birds
