Getting all packed for a quick trip to LA… literally only taking a backpack of clothes and toiletries… it feels odd but good to be able to pack this light for a 4 day trip

I made a conscious effort to read more this year and I'm obsessed with the feel of physical books. However, they come with some downsides - storage space, potential disappointment, and cost.

After a Lego user group meeting, I received a challenge to create a flower. Stopped by the local Bricks n Minifigs store, rummaged for parts for about an hour, and this is what I came up with using only those parts. It was fun and challenging to see what I could create from random parts! #Lego

Time to finally relax for an hour, this week has been so stressful

I finally finished the entire (released) Game Changers series. I loved it over all; a couple of the books seemed to move slower and have less relatable characters. I saw a lot of myself scattered across the characters and finally let myself feel those emotions. I can’t wait for the new book in Sept.

Guess I could share this out, I always could use more friends

Another thing I decided to do was to start dressing better, no more shorts and a t-shirt all day. To make an effort to look nice for other people, but mostly myself. I hired a stylist to help with some outfits now and then because I can’t go shopping on my own, I had no idea what looked good on me!

Part of my resolutions/goals/whatever you want to call it for the new year was to disconnect from social media and make time for more self care. Nothing has been better so far than curling up with some hot tea and a good book. Letting myself get lost in the stories and connect with the characters

I always look forward to going to the gym, it is part of my self care and therapy routine. But I also love my post workout smoothies! (Yes there is blueberry in it, no banana though…)

Trying something new: less performing, more being. Less “here’s what I want you to see,” more “here’s who I actually am.”

Just finished Role Model from the Game Changers series and the last chapter had me straight-up bawling. Why am I such a hopeless sap for these men and their feelings.

I was able to get in to get a steroid shot in my shoulder this afternoon! Finally some relief from this pain until surgery!

Finished the Game Changer/Heated Rivalry series and… yeah. I think I’m broken. How am I supposed to function in the real world when all I want is the soft, sappy, stupid‑cute love of a Kip‑and‑Scott arc. Boys, I fear I’ve been ruined.

Shoulder is wrecked and Aleve has officially tapped out. Still waiting to hear back about the steroid injection and surgery schedule, and the pain is getting unreal. Just want some relief so I can function again. But still at the gym going what I can safely to keep me sane

I need a cute dinner date to break up this cold and dreariness…

Ok, read books 1-3 of the Game Changers series… and I think #3 (Tough Guy) lacked the same energy and momentum of the first two… the story really was stagnant for about the first half, picked up a little, but not much. I do love how all of the books intertwine characters and timelines. On to #4

Nervous energy kicking in before this shoulder appointment. Worried about the runaround, the restrictions they might throw at me, and what this means long-term. Trying to breathe through it and hope for real answers today.
