Try time traveling with our time projection chamber! ⏰🚀 Just kidding — a time projection chamber, as fun as it may sound, has nothing to do with time travel. This tool enables physicists to measure the momentum of particles during collisions at #RHIC's sPHENIX experiment.

We used ultrabright X-rays at #NSLSII to reveal the microscale chemistry of #Ryugu, a near-Earth asteroid. With signatures of chemical processes that occurred in the early solar system, Ryugu's makeup may help scientists learn how water and prebiotic organic matter arrived on Earth.
