Council Member Bob Kettle of the Seattle City Council visited Galway to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the twinning partnership. The original twinning agreement was signed by the late Bridie O’Flaherty during her term as Mayor, establishing a long-standing relationship rooted in shared values.

☘️ A warm Irish welcome to Galway Chicago Garda Pipe and Drum Band from our Sister City Chicago. A delegation of 31 musicians, led by Police Chief Tom Herion, travelled from Chicago, performing at events across the city including Patrick’s Day Parade.
