Breaking my hiatus to say that if something unused is found in a game's files, it's not a guarantee of it getting implemented in future updates, and the developer doesn't owe you to implement it. Also, be mindful when sharing leaks - not everybody wants to see them, they're technically spoilers.

Since writing this it has apparently come out that Genki DID acquire IP rights in Canada, Throwback has already allowed the transfer. The issue appears to be down to trademark application in Canada, where its still waiting on an examiner to confirm the transfer. I owe Throwback an apology.

For my fellow Canadian players. PLEASE DON'T PUT THIS ON GENKI. This is a sudden situation the team's been trying to resolve and unfortunately this is currently beyond their control. The issue is because of shady practices from a Canadian studio claiming the IP rights to TXR. #TokyoXtremeRacer
