I dunno how to feel about this; There were a bunch in the purple/lavender space that I was nowhere close to, so I'm suprised the final score was so low. Some of the latter colours in the greens were easy to find though. maybe my monitor *is* doing something weird..? 😅

Every so often I like to design miniatures for 3D printing. I've always enjoyed the concept of #Eldar Ghost Warriors. But I wanted to try something more unsettling to reflect how abhorrent they are to Eldar culture. #40k #Blender3D

I still see a lot of folks in our community posting on or sharing posts from Twitter. If you're an Artist or a Creator then you *gotta* get off that platform. There simply isn't any justification for letting it profit from your engagement. All the cool kids are here now anyway.

Okay, quick Rant: 1/ I traveled through London Waterloo this weekend and I heard a charming brass band doing seasonal songs in front of a big christmas tree. Disappointingly; Instead of a traditional tree, it was exclusively branded with "Stranger Things" branding. It was, frankly, very Tacky.

I recently picked up a nice graphics tablet as I've been meaning to do more digital art. I've had some luck doodling and concepting over 3D models to plan out details, but gosh is it humbling with how hard it is to transition from a 3D background to traditional drawing skills. Having fun though!

Are there any assets or features from update 6 that I should showcase or chat about? I haven't done anything showing off the conveyors yet, I ought to do that soon.

Here's a fun little trick we used for Circuit Breaker. All of the assets were made in greyscale, and the final palette was applied using #Godot adjustments settings in an Environment Node. This made tweaking the final palette, introducing new colours and shading certain elements SUPER quick.

Fun fact: Create almost got a frogport "rare package" when we realised the frog and the package were the same size. I couldn't get the texture to work with the muted cardboard palette, but I found this visual from my archives and thought it was pretty fun! 😅 Also no. This isn't a feature reveal.

For April's #mcartday I thought I'd share a trick I use when doing a bunch of matching textures. This jumble of blocks is a process that I usually call "clustering", and it's done as part of the texture polish stage. #Minecraft #ModdedMinecraft #CreateMod #PixelArt

I think I might've made the Happy Ghast's (Joyst?) smile a little bigger and more smug. I know typically they have quite a small mouth anyway, but the low mouth with the high and close-together goggles makes an odd shape for the face. Looks like they've got a few more pixels to work with as well.

You're telling me that Minecraft is letting you tame and employ a Nether denizen that you can then put goggles on..? That's ridiculous..

I'm enjoying that we've had a GIMP 3.0, Blender 4.4 and Godot 4.4 all release recently. Lots of cool new toys to play with!

We had an version of NML on the Update 6 playtest and it is an absolute pleasure ♥️ The terrain feels natural and well-scaled while occasionally surprising you with some of the wilder formations that I loved from earlier MC. All garnished with a bunch of new, charming details. Go try it out! 🎉
