Waking up to so many DMs over a caption with pic of 2 of our dogs. Long story short people. Depression after the death of my mother after decades of separation has been unbearable for me and got very dark. I am making progress. Yes being gay was part of it. The dogs & hubby were a reason to live.

I post two pics of my dogs and 50 people block me. The assumption of context. Why there is so much crap flying in our faces. I am honestly not bothered. It only confirms what I suspect about most people and why our 3 Italian Greyhounds will always prioritize everything that happens around us.

I need to add something about my dogs. The grief I’ve been going thru over the death of my mother has at times been a major problem for me. I thought my heart was really incapable of breaking. These boys are saving me. I realize that more each day.

Our Italian Greyhound refuses to eat almost every Monday.

Now that I’ve entered my 60s I do not understand how in the world our senior citizens of this country deal with the barrage of calls about things that they need to get in order to survive

So we tried the Echo Dot Alexa app thing in our home. That is not happening.

I can truly and honestly say I’m looking forward to leaving Atlanta. The city is getting so hard to maneuver I know living in any large city you face those challenges, but we’ve been here for so long and it’s gotten worse and worse and worse.

Snake Bite. Laci was bitten by a snake during the labor day weekend which fortunately we were able to get... after Laci was bitten on the toe, Bruno and Bacco pulled it into two parts and we were able to get that to the emergency room with us. LUCKILY was not a venomous snake... antibiotics.

My little tiny mother passed away...

We’re on day 3 of much less response from my little mother. We can’t get her to open her eyes for more than a few mins … she is eating much less and stopped talking but to say daddy is there. Since my dad passed in 1998. So she’s probably hovering in the middle somewhere.

Well, we’re in the middle of the worst part of dementia and sundowners syndrome. This is brutal and I’m constantly reminding myself this is not about me my feelings this woman that is my mother is not who I think she is.

We are now 2 full days without any "ghost pain" from Bacco. Hubby and I are finally back to getting 5 uninterrupted hours of sleep.

On our way home from Dr. Stacy they can find nothing wrong with Bacco. X-ray show nothing so they’re thinking it could possibly be a soft tissue but he is giving us nothing. He’s doing nothing no whining no crying so we’re on two weeks of carpovet.

Bacco is dealing with a pretty serious ghost injury. 3 yrs ago he sprained is front left leg pretty badly and now today out of the blue he got up limping and crying. We can massage it. We can ambulate the joints and he is not bothered. So we’re off to vet in morning.

OCCASIONALLY… she will hug her little brother.

Tonight for the last couple hours the dementia and sundowners syndrome has caused my mother, whom I love so dearly, to say some of the most horrible things to me. I just remember this is my little mother and I know she has a disease and continue to offer my heart and hand. Long night.

having POA amongst greedy hateful evil siblings is not something anyone should look forward to. What you have to remind yourself of is to hyper focus on the individual. My mother is the beginning and the end. Period. Everyone else go can to hell.

Someone in my face again today about wearing a mask. The truth is, my husband and I both work for large corporations. His location and building is about 1500 and mine is about 3000. I have not contracted any version of Covid or Corona... etc. What is the answer.. I don't know.

While I know my mom will be with daddy where she has longed to be… I selfishly want her to stay here with me. I’m a mommas boy. Yes. And I feel my heart breaking.

 I am amazed at how sensitive these little greyhounds are. They obviously know somethings wrong with me because my mom‘s coming off of ventilator today and they will not leave my side and I keep trying to lick my face. I have my husband and these beautiful fur babies.
