There is something about an orange rose that captivates me. In the language of flowers, they symbolize enthusiasm, a feeling I loved channeling into this new piece. Layered photo transfers, dried pressed leaves, ephemera, acrylic & wax pastel create a tactile sanctuary on wood.

I caught a miracle in action! While checking the California Dutchman’s Pipevine along my walk, I stumbled upon a whole tiny world. I spotted lingering flowers, Pipevine Swallowtails in flight and, the best part, a female actually laying her bright red eggs!

Meet my most faithful trail companion. I love catching up with friends on the creek trails but the one who never misses a beat is Ginty. At 3 years old, this Parson Jack Russell terrier is working on being a pro trail dog, though a squirrel sighting will still test her focus every single time!
