A good friend and former bandmate’s current band is doing really well and are getting ready to record an album. I just found out they want to adopt and include an old song I wrote, and I’ll be on the album as a feature! Will record it with them when I’m home for Christmas. Very excited! ^^

I think moving to a home in the suburbs has kick-started my “settling down older gay guy phase” early. I’m suddenly getting into things like gardening and interior decorating 😭

World sucks currently but hey we got some fun cabin trips around the corner. One here in Colorado and another in Oregon after that. Looking forward to quality time out in nature with my partner and friends. Yeah escapism doesn’t change anything, but I kinda need it right now.

Former drummer for Baroness has died. Listened to them a ton as a teen. Man it’s been a damn tough stretch for metalheads as of late. I was on the fence about going to some upcoming shows, but I’m realizing I need to see my favorite bands while I still can.

One big goal I have is to someday be in a band again. I enjoy playing guitar on my own, but what I really miss is writing songs with others and playing for an audience. It’ll be tough, but I’ll have to put my shyness aside and find a way to get involved in the local music scene.

Hearing about Brent Hinds’ death is really hard. I’ve been a huge Mastodon fan since I was a kid, and Brent was one of my biggest influences and inspirations when it comes to guitar. This is tough to process. Rest easy :(

Honestly, one of my favorite things about where we live is the view. Any time I have a rough day, I go to my favorite spots and just watch the sunset. Instant good vibes.

When you’re watching a crime documentary and start hearing movement by your back door, and you flip on the porch light ready to face what your brain has decided is obviously a serial killer in your yard, only to see a chonky raccoon staring back at you. I was so damn scared! 😅

It’s always been a dream of mine to have our very own designated private space for kinky fun, and it’s finally happening. It’s not much yet, but this is just the beginning!

I haven’t given an update on my recovery journey in a while! It began around Christmas, and I’m happy to report that things are still going smoothly. No relapses or problems otherwise. Just slowly tapering down my meds until I’m off them. Looking forward to that day!

Today’s the big day! Our apartment was a good place to start out here in Colorado, but today we move into a house like we always wanted. So ready for this next chapter!

I don’t care if it’s trashy, I’m getting an above ground pool for the backyard at our new place for peak relaxation on hot days😎

Back from a little impromptu social media break! Was pretty busy and stressed from focusing on the move, but we GOT THE HOUSE WE WANTED HELL YES! Huge weight off our shoulders, and we’re feeling good. Can’t wait to have a home and a yard, and a place to host family and friends!

I recently found a bunch of old photos and clips buried on my phone taken when the band I was in was touring. Fuck man, hit me right in the feels, but in a good way. Glad I have these memories documented. Was a hell of a wild ride, and I’ll never forget it!

Despite running out of time to see every person I hit up before the con, I have to say, this was the best FWA experience i’ve had in YEARS! Was just nonstop good times beginning to end, and NosHyena’s karaoke party was amazing. Thanks so much everyone!

Not gonna lie, I was pretty depressed for a little over a month there, but I’m feeling a lot better now. Got a new car, and we went on a little adventure today. A new job is also around the corner, and our move out of our apartment into a house is after that! Can’t complain ^^

Product idea: one of those recordings for insomnia with guided meditation and soothing music but the mix is really quiet and you have to turn it up, and about 40 minutes in there’s a massive bass-boosted explosion sound effect. Then it goes back to normal.

A little update on my recovery: I’m about a month and a half in and things are going great! Feeling good and no relapses, even during stressful times when it’s tempting. I admit I doubted my own willpower when I started, but I guess I underestimated myself! 💪

High and thinking about how much shampoo anthros would have to use if they were real

I see others picking up on the same vibe/culture shift in furry that has been bothering me for a while. There’s so much I want to say about it, but I don’t know if the time is right yet. It’s reassuring to know I’m not the only one who’s noticing.

Having anxiety sucks, but I’m gonna try to push myself and step out of my comfort zone this weekend. Facing it head on is the way to go.
