Comiket tickets were sold out everywhere. I went to a bookstore far away and arrived last minute. They had a sign saying they were sold out, but I asked anyway. They said the tickets are gone. BUT it turns out they only sold out the early entrance tickets, so I got two regular ones. Insanely lucky.

I found this beautiful #japanese #broom store in #Tokyo. It's the first broom store that I visited and I want to buy them all! 🥰 But they don't ship them ._. Some of them are 300$ or more, but taking them home via airplane would be even more expensive unfortunately. One day I might do it anyway 🧹

There are big trucks (often with giant LED screens) blasting loud music while they drive around, only to advertise something. That is quite interesting in a country as silent as Japan 👀

There is a store in Akihabara that sells "Kigurumi" stuff, although I find these really scary. But my first mask was from that company, I used it for testing out the hobby once before investing so much money into it. I still use the Hadas from that brand since they are well made and work fine.

I like this V-Tuber not because of her content (that I don't watch), but purely because there was once a fanmade drawing where she was flying on a broom. Also that star in her hair is really cute. Maybe I only like the star? That is all you need to know about me 😆

I spent the first week in Japan without an IC card (they stopped selling them while I was there). It was really complicated to use public transport without one and nobody should have to go through that much trouble. I felt like a third class citizen, especially at transfer gates 😆

#Touhou is a franchise that I am way too much invested into, even though I never played the games. Even my name is inspired by Marisa and Reimu. Originally, I wanted to be Reimari, but that name was already taken. So I combined Reimu with "majo" which means "witch". Because I want to be a witch 🪄🧹

Some lessons learned: - Hotel rooms are really tiny in Japan, but that is all that you really need. They are also really cheap, around 60€/night. - Hotel breakfast is not really worth it (even though this one here was exceptionally good for Japan). You can just grab some snacks on the way instead.

There was a small market in the middle of the ugly industrial district of Tokyo. I wasn't expecting this and was very surprised! I ordered food I knew from anime, hoping it wasn't octopus 🦑. The chef pulled out a huge tentacle and slammed it on the table! Hopefully not for my order? 🫣

The first thing that I did after landing was visiting a Spa. Not a bad decision after a very long flight! But you should not trust influencer videos on such locations, that place was not at all like in their fancy videos.

During the flight, I finished watching "Love, Chunibyo & Other Delusions!" for the fourth time to prepare myself for visiting Kyoto where that anime takes place. This anime means so much to me, I cannot wait to visit the same places in real life! Easily my favorite regular anime 🥰
