🚦 Streetlight and signal upgrades completed at Broadway and 5th We continue to make progress on the Realignment Plan! The city of Santa Monica recently completed signal improvements at Broadway and 5th Street.

On Dec. 9, Caroline Torosis will be sworn in as the next mayor of Santa Monica and Jesse Zwick will take the position of mayor pro tem. Torosis will take the helm from outgoing Mayor Lana Negrete, who has served in the post since 2024.

It's been a rainy night and morning, and Santa Monica Public Works crews are responding to flooding in Lot 1N, the beach bike path and near the Pier. Lot 1N remains open with parking and pier access. Please use caution and stay out of standing water and away from beach storm drains.
