Taking time while I have a few mins at a conference to read a manuscript from my slush pile, & I’m completely OBSESSED in a way I never have been before. I love everything I take on, but this one??? I’m OBSESSED. It has every part of me. One of the best things I’ve read this year, published or not.

My daughter’s video absolutely broke my heart this morning. Rest in Peace, Sweet Jet-Jet. I think losing her hurts more than all of my dogs combined.

Well…yesterday sucked. It was my birthday, but we spent the whole day grieving, myself included. My adult daughter’s beloved dog, Jet, passed away suddenly. She was only 11. She was such a good dog & was my daughter’s rock through some really bad years. Gonna miss that sweet girl!

THREAD #WritingCommunity 1/ Someone recently asked me my process for considering queries/submissions, so I thought I'd share. Queries: I start with the first 5 pages and I'm looking at voice, writing style, and whether you draw me in. It also helps if I get a zing of excitement.
