Speaking of an emotional week, could this BE more appropriate for my memoir audio book listen?! Just listen to it, or read it. as sad as it is, it's honest and poignant and raw about a lifetime of battling addiction.

This week has been one emotional breaker after another. I have been stretching time and time again to protect, support, and comfort others. Overdue for some selfishness and emotional release. so I sobbed on
@callmemrwiggles.bsky.social
in a parking lot and demanded to go to our local indy bookstore.

Finally read this despite having it for 2 years. Worth it. Quite a few stories I didn't know. 5 out of 5 would recommend.

So glad I read this one despite having watched the movie. The prose is so good, just a masterclass of wordplay and humor.

well, that's one perspective. there is a lot of wrong here. I'm glad she's getting help.l and building a life outside the show. while I think she's closer to getting it, there is still the decision to engage with her family of abusers. 2-3 out of 5. not sure I'd recommend.

Witch - witch hunter cat and mouse, high society lady and working class man, and choosing between brothers-this has all the tropes. Several plot twists that you see coming but couldn't stop reading anyway. Planned sequel, no release date.

Fantasy is a favorite genre for me and this first book of a planned trilogy really hit. despite the title, strong Female ownership of her own story, characters learning to master and deal with vulnerability and I'm excited for the second book to be released in August.

Last week, I made a batch of pie crust and had the second half left over, so for all his help and kindness I told
@callmemrwiggles.bsky.social
that I wanted to bake him a pie, and that because he likes beets so much, I wanted to try a beet pie recipe.

Bought it last year for my grandmother after hearing the NPR interview. Was not expecting the heart break to unfold so consistently across the back half of the book.
