if you don't learn confrontation skills you will never be able to maintain relationships with anyone. the reality is that everyone makes mistakes, or people misinterpret things. hell, conflict is normal and should be something you're able to navigate. confrontation isn't something you can avoid.

it's so easy to just let people know what's going on. because if you get to a point where you think it's better to mute someone you know than just reach out to them... why are you still following them? just talk to people.

i think it should be quite obvious, but if you have an issue with someone you know: tell them directly. you cannot expect that posting something like "i wish people would xyz" when 'people' actually means the person you should just talk to, will be clearly seen or understood by that other person.

this was gaining a tiny bit of traction so i just wanted to clarify that this is about people being unwilling to communicate to someone they already know, and instead avoid confrontation and get upset when the person they write a vague public post.... doesn't understand it's about them.

there's been a lot of weird vague-posting lately from what i've gathered, even with some directed at myself. so this isn't just a complaint about a one time occurrence or over one person as it's just very frequent lately.. we are all adults. please communicate with each other.

i might delete this post but can i just say for one brief moment that if you have a problem with someone: communicate that. don't air your grievance to a fast-moving social media timeline and expect the person to catch on. no one is online 24/7. be an adult and communicate with other people.
