Thanks Epic Games for pushing me closer and closer to the point of wanting to discontinue Rainbow Island after v1.13 on a daily basis. I was REALLY hoping to at least get to v1.14, but it seems increasingly unlikely that it will happen... 💔

My current plan for Rainbow Island's next update is to release v1.12.20 on December 4, 2025, at 9 AM EST. After that, it will be v1.13 (Coral Chaos) on January 1, 2026, at 12 AM EST. These are only my current plans and could change at any time.

November 15, 2025, at 9:00 AM EST Yeah, apparently you're able to change the scheduled time after approval to be as soon as 30 minutes from the current time. The whole 24 hour thing is true, but I guess that's before approval? Kinda makes sense given variable approval time, but still weird.

Good news: I got the update published and am waiting for approval. Bad news: I apparently can't schedule islands to be published sooner than 24 hours. While I could technically pick the manual option and publish it at 9 AM tomorrow, I opted to do the soonest automatic option for 9:30 AM EST.

I'm very worried that Fortnite will soon get to a point where my PC can't handle having both UEFN and the live edit session loaded at the same time, even with both of them on low settings.

Have you ever wondered what 2 1/2 years of progress looked like? Well, here is the very first Rainbow Island map compared with the newest major update. This doesn't even tell the full story due to several areas having been changed multiple times lol.

My goal is to get Rainbow Island v1.12.10 out by tomorrow at 9 AM EST, but I'm not 100% sure if I can. If the time it is uploaded comes after November 15 at 9 AM EST, it will release as soon as it gets approved.

Bad News: There is a pretty good chance that Rainbow Island v1.13: Coral Chaos will be the final major Rainbow Island update either forever or for a VERY long time. I am deeply against predatory practices, and Epic Games is pushing Fortnite extremely deeply into that with some recent things.

There is going to at LEAST be a v18 (internally) in terms of what will be used for the full v2. Yes, we have over a month and a half left of Hopeful Holiday, and I hope Fortnite v38.10 makes Rainbow Island v1.12.10 less frustrating than v1.12.01.

I am slowly but surely getting v1.12.01 finished right now. It's pretty much done and all I need to do is to get the update memory checked so I can actually publish it.

UEFN is giving me a REALLY hard time today. I'd probably be done Rainbow Island v1.12.01 by now if it didn't keep disconnecting and crashing. Like it's a small update and it shouldn't be taking this long to actually get it finished...

Rainbow Island is now 901 days old, and it will be 1000 days old on February 6, 2026. For context, the Hiss Clique Quest Pack was last available on May 7, 2023, and the Square Stream wrap was last available on May 12, 2023. Championship Aura was last available on May 15, 2023.

Rainbow Island v1.13's official name is Coral Chaos! Yeah, it's a bit silly I'm sharing this more than a week before v1.12 and more than 2 months before v1.13, but I just really like sharing these things LOL.

The thing is that I have an update name planned for an update after v1.13, and my current plan is to make that v1.14 due to me really wanting the theme to be the final update on the current map before that transitional update. If the fans demand it, the story changes and the map stays.

I have an update name and map change plans for v1.13, but v1.14 and beyond depends on player feedback. I currently have plans to use v1.14 as the "final" update before transitioning to v1.15. v1.15 will a transitional update to bridge the gap between the current map and v2.0.

My hint for Rainbow Island v1.13 is that it has to deal with a point of interest that hasn't been seen since June 2024, but remnants of it are still there on the current map (v1.11.10). My second hint is that those remnants aren't there on the upcoming v1.12 map.

The update has been submitted for review and it was approved! It will go live on October 15th at 9 AM EDT, as I've already stated on here several times. This will be the last update until Rainbow Island v1.12 (Hopeful Holiday).

I HOPE I'm able to get Rainbow Island v1.11.10 finished and scheduled for October 15th today. It's a small update, so it shouldn't take long if UEFN wants to cooperate with me today.

Random Rainbow Island fact: The special text I used for Rainbow Rift (v1.9) was created on August 27, 2024, which was 278 days before the release of Rainbow Rift on June 1, 2025.

I mean compare that clanker slop to the non-clanker masterpiece I did for my own Fortnite experience (shameless plug, I know). I use replay mode for the screenshots for my thumbnails. There was a period of time where UEFN replays were broken, so I had to use the UEFN viewport instead.

This isn't the final version of Hopeful Havoc v2 LOL. In my opinion, v2 is significantly better than the original Hopeful Havoc featured in v1.10. It definitely doesn't fit Rainbow Island v1.13's theme, but it wasn't ever meant to LOL.
