Sketch..🐐 Ibexes on my mind lately, as we saw so many beautiful cave paintings depicting them

Saw lots of fig trees growing everywhere in France, so I had to take some cuttings 👀🌱 this will be a little experiment as it's not exactly the best timing, but I'll keep them in a warm and dark place place. Fingers crossed they grow roots!

Has anyone here had just one indoor cat and then introduced a puppy or new dog into the home? 🐱🐶 I’d love to hear your stories, did your cat eventually adjust and stay happy, or did their personality change for the worse? We really want a dog someday, but I don’t want to upset our cat’s world :(

Soo due to waking up today to my dog having a giant hematoma formed in her ear overnight which will most likely need a small surgery, I decided to open one additional slot! And shares etc would be much appreciated!

Yesterday we visited the last 3 caves of our trip; Bédeilhac, Niaux & La Vache, each with something special to see. Bédeilhac was partly damaged but fascinating. It even has a carved vulva with a stalactite placed in it, very symbolic. 😆

I wanted to share this funeral photography I captured in 2019 for a woman whose beloved Friesian mare had passed away. I still think about this experience often, it was such a privilege to be part of that moment. There was deep sadness, but also an incredible amount of love and even laughter.

In the morning we visited the Pech Merle cave, and wow… it was incredible. The ancient handprints looked as if they were made yesterday, it’s hard to grasp that someone left them thousands of years ago and that we are able to see it now. That connection through time is truly moving...

Thank you so much Totemic_tattoo (on IG) for making time for us to give me my very first tattoo. He was so knowledgable and kind, giving the best experience I could have hoped for! Both my partner and I are absolutely thrilled 🖤🥹

Today we visited the Font de Gaume cave, the last cave still open to visitors with polychrome paintings. We saw the beautiful kissing reindeer and many bison. The guide noticed my wolf pin and pointed out a harder to spot wolf painting. It’s very calcified, but the face was still clearly visible. 🤩

Wild Communion

Today we visited the Combarelles cave with an incredible collection of animal engravings (see the map!). Afterwards, we visited the Cognac cave, where we saw beautiful paintings of megaloceros, ibexes, and mammoths. Our guides were fantastic, sharing so much insight. Feeling deeply inspired 🥹.

This Irish elk was reconstructed using real deer fur and hooves, love how it looks and so HUGE

Today we visited the two Lascaux replicas, words can’t do them justice! 🥹😭 Both were amazing in their own way: the older one felt intimate and sits right by the original cave, while the newer one is stunningly precise thanks to modern scanning. The photos are from the smaller exhibits afterwards.

Yay! I just got a call from the organic plant shop I applied for, I have a trial day scheduled next month to see if I enjoy it and if we’re a good fit working together. It sounds like it could be a really flexible job during the busy seasons. Hhnnnn fingers crossed!🌱 ;v;

Distracting myself with picking berries. These Cornelian cherries (they taste even better than cherries imo but they have to be perfectly ripe to eat) are one of the tastiest fruits I've had and nobody else seems to care about them, not even the wasps. More for me 👌

This apple tree was grafted by my grandpa about 12 years ago and planted by my mom in her garden. It’s lovely that his memory lives on through these fruits. :)
