The final SAO meeting has been extended by 15 minutes request by the Swedish delegation! 🇸🇪🌎❄️

The SAO meeting is almost finished- this is the last SAO meeting of the conference… the delegates are speeding to get in any final clauses and amendments that they wish to include.

Unfortunately the clause was not adopted…

Canada proposes clause 12 about ensuring indigenous committees are equally involved in discussions for how to best defend the LIA… we wait to see if it gets approved by everyone 🌎🇨🇦

The AIA has withdrawn its amendment- however, the AIA’s proposal to change the wording of the clause has been accepted!!! Well done AIA delegation. ❄️🌎🐻‍❄️

Day 3 of NORMAC featured engaging debates on the previous day's document. The delegates' efforts were commendable. The SAO meeting ensured every delegate could contribute, and a visit from Budge the cat lifted spirits.
