I took a sketch, lightened it, and shaded in the forms first before sketching on top. And something is finally starting to click!

Got a Wacom Movink a while ago and I'M IN LOVE ❤️ waaaaay better than the magic drawing pad. I need to hurry up and upload some art on here. But I'd like to watermark my art differently 🤔 idk

I've been dual booting linux for a while and so far so good. Only issue is my file explorer doesn't work so I have to use the terminal to navigate. It really sucks that windows wants to cramp more AI into their OS. Other than that, I actually liked w11 🫤

Decided to just jump into C++. Deep down, I really don't wanna learn a "beginner friendly" language. Especially if the language isn't widely used to make game engines. Just throw me into the fire! I'll flail around and figure it out I guess idk! lol

I was looking through old art and started to miss the joy and cuteness my art used to have. Hopped out of bed this morning to draw this. I definitely gotta bring this side of my art back. I forgot how much my art used to make me smile.

Summer has officially arrived where I live. 🫠😩 I'm already done. Ready for Fall now.

I gotta start chipping away at all the math I need to relearn/learn. After these two, it's Linear Algebra, Trig, and Calculus . . . Just me, textbooks, and the internet for when I get stuck. 🙃 I enjoy learning now, but it's quite the mountain to climb. 🥲 🗻

I'm realizing that the things I enjoy first about art are lines, anatomy, form, composition, color, light, perspective, rendering style. It's not really "what" I'm drawing but "how" I'm drawing it, if that makes sense. I'd like to lean on those things more and see what happens~

Im giving painting another go. I tried gouache recently, and I really enjoyed figuring out how to mix colors. But I'll use oils instead; gouache just dries too quickly. Now I remember why I stopped using acrylics. 🙃

Been practicing Javascript, now I'm bringing databases into the mix~ One of my future projects is to make a local blog/encyclopedia/art galley site to be a central hub for my art/creations.

Welp! I got my groove back! Now I can get down to business and make lots of weird animals to populate my world with. 🙂

Finished reviewing HTML & CSS. Now I'm tackling Javascript, which I have the least experience with. I'm definitely seeing unexplored waters on the horizon now~ So I'm adding The Odin Project to my crew. So far so good! 🙂

I want to learn how to render with my art too this year. And do color again! 🙂 I was avoiding it to practice values first, but I'll try to do both at the same time. I just want to feel inspired when I draw. I'm hoping bring color back into the mix will help that. Fingers crossed! 🤞

One of my goals this year is to do a little practice each day . . . or at least every few days. It's been peaceful just drawing without the expectation of posting online. BUT, I'll try to post something here and there~

I'm still trying to get the rust off my fingers after not drawing for so many years. I fell into a groove before bed yesterday, it was pretty nice~
